A new cunning idea

At Montessori the morning tea is set out in such a way that the children can go and help themselves when they’re hungry, clean up after themselves, and also get a drink of water whenever they like.

I’m sick of getting water and other things that are naturally stored too high up for the kids to get at, but they could sort out for themselves (or Lord B for Sir A, if necessary).

Also, we never use our microwave unless we need a wheatbag.

Enter cunning plan: remove microwave to garage, and set up a little snack and water station.

The water can only be filled a little bit or it's too heavy for Lord B, but he's great a pouring. Snacks today are: raw soaked and dried almonds, cheese cubes, olives, chunks of bread (my sourdough), and a small bowl of kraut. Sir A loves kraut.

I thought I may as well put their plates and bowls down there too, for easy access.

Best to keep it covered - haven't come up with the best plan for that yet, but at least this will keep the flies off.

Lord B pours water for them both. I kinda meant him to just pour, then take the water/whatever to the table, but they thought it would be great to sit there.

Hado Mummy!

Hado Mummy!

Now to see whether Sir A has the maturity yet to not make a huge mess with all the food…
